Steering became easier

I am having an issue with my 03 f250 4x4 crew 6.8L. The steering got really light and easy to turn. Also it will not return to straight after turning the steering wheel. If I am going around a corner and let go of the steering wheel. It stays in that position. After doing some research on the web. I think that it may be a stuck solenoid stuck. My question is where is this solenoid? Is it something I can replace?

There is no solenoid, you need to inspect the front end for any worn or broken components.

Did you look and feel all of the steering components? I'd start there. I had a new tie rod once that was so tight that the wheels wouldn't return to strsight in their iwn.
