Hey all....another stupid question.......mounting the fender on my 66 for fitup....the top inside bolt...is there a spacer that goes between fender and cab?....or do you just not tighten the bolt up snug....because if I do it pulls the fender in to tight...I know there is a rubber type seal there but that compresses also....

thia is the gap with no bolt yet...does a spacer or shim get used here
Book says, Align the fender and tighten the apron and cowl mountings. In and out adjustment may be accomplished by the use of shims at the hinge pillar and cowl.
I would get the door fit correctly to the cab then do whatever it took to make the fender match the door.
