Tune identification
I recently bought a 2005 6.0 from a dealer. It did not come with a tuner, but Im fairly certain it is running a tune due to the performance and lack of EGR cel (it's been deleted). Is there a way to read the pcm to figure out what tune it's got loaded up?

Plug a tuner into the truck, if it shows VIN locked, it's tuned. Or get the dealer to hook up to it. But they will charge you.

Some early 05's may not set a light. Is the egr cooler just deleted or the egr valve too? If the valve is missing you're going to want to replace it or at the least plug one in and leave it on top of the engine. Without it plugged in the fan clutch may not work properly.
