3v troubleshooting
I have a 06 v10 dump with 46000 miles in the odometer. While plowing the truck runs fine no skips or anything. I do notice the hood to produce a lot of steam. Also the upper coolant hose seems to have excessive pressure in it. But to be honest I don't know how hard it usually gets. Here's where my issue starts, once in get home (which is mostly highway) I can smell coolant and my degas bottle will lose coolant. I checked all the lines and can't find anything. Hoping it isn't head gaskets, yes the truck produces steam and a little puddle of water near the tail pipe upon start up but the smoke will go away once driving. Any tips would be appreciated. could it be something as simple as the water pump/fan clutch not circulating the coolant which would create pressure? Again thanks in advance.
