Trans cover complete . Finished w/ 8 coats of high gloss alphatic urethane . Secured w/ 14 stainless 10-32 allen head button screws . Also 8 of them securing the boot to the cover . Lokar shifter come w/ a generic black boot so had one sewn up in gray to match the interior motif . All the blotches you see are shadows . Also installed the '52 Magic Air heater w/ a NOS motor cover emblem . Am getting anxious to get this work of art out in the car show community . Hopefully Mar. 18 or for sure Apr. 2 . Have a show w/ the stock truck sat. evening in Jupiter , Fla. Heard a real Cobra will be there . Pics for sure .

What about the finger prints on the upper right corner, Oh never mind they are on my touch screen, LOL. I'm just playing with you, it's beautiful. The Allen heads really set it off nicely.

It looks nice but looks like you cut the hole with a chisel. Just got to bust your ball$ for something. Good job, did you make it from a mold you made?

Scribe & cut w/ a router .Needed it to close to the shifter .
Used a fiber glass cover as the base . Cut out what was not needed as the 428 was positioned as high & as far back as possible . .
Found a discarded fiber glass truck topper on the side of the road that had very interesting compound curves .
Cut out the areas that were needed .
Super glued them together with the base unit .
Filled all all cracks w/ Dolphin body glaze .
Sanded & waxed .
Layed one layer of 1 oz. fiber glass mat w/ resin then applied 2 layers of carbon fiber cloth w/ resin . Let dry removed mock up cover , trim edges Then applied the final coats of urethane . Between each coat the cover was sanded w/ 320 & all visible pits were filled in w/ drops of urethane from an artists brush . The urethane is mixed exactly 4-1 gram to gram .
Pics are of the end result .
The hot rod truck also has a one off front license plate frame made on the mill and one off rear bed roll plugs made of aluminum on the lathe . Made them .004 big , inserted in freezer for 2 hrs. & installed . Friction held ! . Those 3 items are the first things I ever made out of carbon fiber , on the mill & lathe .

Does the heater have a ground wire or just grounds through bolt to dash?
