When folded up, it rests against the glass with the middle rubber bumper just above the sliding window. However, the thickness of the cover when folded does partially obstruct the view of the camera. It blocks the view of the front 1/2+ of the bed. I'd say you can see from just behind the middle of the wheel wells to the back of the bed.
