Is it true?

It's getting increasingly difficult to trust the interwebs. I can barely tell fact from fiction anymore. So tell me: is this plausible? I love Broncos, and I want it to be true, but I can't detect every photoshop job. Is there even a way to tell if this is real yet? Does anybody have the inside skinny?

Ford already announced the new Bronco for 2020. It will be made in the Michigan plant.

So it was actually Ford announcing, and not just an intense dream of some poster that wants it to be true?

Yup, Ford announced it, coming out in 2020. They didn't release any details about how it would look or engines available, so I wouldn't believe any articles that try to discuss that .

Good stuff. Broncos are my favorite. Don't own one now as I need a truck more but lots of fond memories in broncos. My last 79 had a big 429 in it! Lots of fun.

LA Times said the new Bronco will be introduced in 2019.

Nothing was said in the article about the new Ranger that will be built in the same assembly plant in Flat Rock MI as the Bronco.

I'm interested. Most likely will be F150 based (hopefully) . In my dreams it'd have a removable top but probably will offer the twin panel sunroof instead.

No, it is Ranger based. Nobody knows what they have planned yet but rumblings are not full removable top but rather removable panels in the roof. Sad but might be the best we get. I want the option of 2 door although being based off the Ranger that might be too small now and I'll want the 4 door.

The first rumors said it would basically be a re badged Ford Everest from other markets. Ford has said this is NOT true, but it will be based off the same platform as the upcoming Ranger. I can't imagine it being available in 2 door solely if at all. Even the 4 door Jeep has surpassed the 2 door. As long as its a legit off road capable and has some sort of Bronco heritage incorporated into the design it should be a success. Hope they offer the 2.7 in both it and the Ranger.....

I don't expect 2 door solely but would really like the option. We all know the days of only offering 2 doors on an suv are long gone. We've got a couple years to speculate here now though so it is really exciting!

ford will mess this one opportunity up by offering 4 door only. 4 doors = not a bronco.

It will be just some new, sad soccer mom SUV with a nameplate it doesn't deserve.
