Almost thinking now for the hassle that Lake Leelanau would be a better option. Can dock at the campground, and even make a run to Lake Michigan relatively easily if we wanted.
It's pretty hard to cram in a bunch of water time and other fun ion basically one day, maybe little ride on the water sunday am. But would still need to check out
just a bummer you can't boat from lake leelanau to the big lake. that's where we did our vacation last summer. no hangout spots on lake leelanau, and we trailered to and launched from Leland to get on the big lake.
Yeah, can get to the dam by the early bird if just wanted to grab lunch and wander around the shops. I would like to make a trip out to the islands like you did last year Brandon. That water is so clear up there.
I'm finding there really isn't much to camp/dock and be around other things for others without boats to do.
Yeah, well it's not looking good for trying to do a weekend up north as a group. Everything I am looking into up there is already booked or don't allow Mike's.....
May have to go back to just trying to have a sunday GTG somewhere that we can all run to.
Brower Park is going to be hard I looked into there and they don't allow dogs. Not sure how that would work for just using the boat ramp.....
