Hey guys,

I'm going to be tackling the replacement of my front hub bearing assemblies. I've been shopping around and found I'm more confused than when I started.

So, seems there are two flavors. Those with fine studs and those with coarse studs. The fine studs are (for some reason) significantly more expensive.

And Ive found a ton of people on line asking the same question: Which one do I need for my truck?!?

Any help?

Your 2005 uses fine threaded wheel lugs. M14x1.5.

 

After more research, it seems that 2003 and later are fine thread, and 2002 and earlier are coarse thread. Just ordered me some fine-thread timkins...

They change the thread size somewhere mid year 02.

But yes your 05 has fine thread.
