2005 Ford Hublock Failure Question

I have an 05' F-250. I had a hublock that was not disengaging so I disassembled it & found that the needle bearings in it had seized. It looks like I can get a new bearing for $13 online instead of the $200 that Ford wants for a new hub. My question is can I put the locking cap part of the hublock back on the hub & drive the truck until the bearing arrives. Obviously I wouldn't be able to use the 4 wheel drive, but it doesn't look like it would tear anything up since it would act like a hub that wasn't locked in.

Yes you can....you don't even have to put the outer part of the hub on if you do not want too.
