I have put it in both my oil and used their fuel treatment, neither of which seemed to do anything to my truck at all......

Most 6.0L guys don't leave home without it. Some success stories I have read with 7.3L.

The 6.0 uses a completely different injection system. Perhaps an additive will aid "stiction" in this case.

The 7.3 uses HEUI of the older Caterpillar type. Typical issue is worn poppet valve at around 150k to 200k. This wear reduces the clearance between the armature and the adapter (and thus increasing the clearance between the armature and the solenoid), resulting in the failure of the solenoid to activate the poppet valve. Switching to a lower viscosity oil may disguise the issue for a while, but the clearance between the adapter, armature, and solenoid is not changed.

The best fix is new (NOT REBUILT) OEM injectors - but expect the same issue in about 200k.

The best temporary fix is to shim both the armature and the solenoid to as near OEM spec as possible.

Oil additives are snake oil in this situation!

When diesel was like $4.00 gal, I decided to try Archoil. I used both the oil and the fuel additive... fuel mileage went from 15.5 up to 17.5+-.
A few weeks ago I replace my EBPV... and when it went to 17 degrees, I added some Power Service white bottle supplement, in case it got cold enough to gel.
Few days later, I took a trip to TN and back.... I don't drive over 2000rpm, so not much of over 70 mph.
Do top off my tank... and do actual mileage per gallon.... I got almost 19mpg...

Have filled up twice since then.... a lot of highway driving... and still getting 18.5 - 19.0 mpg. This truck is basically stock... no tuner... don't ask me why, but that's the mpg I'm getting at the moment.

Oh... did add the 204 degree thermostat.... some say that helps with mpg too !

I've used them all for comparison over the years. Just an impromptu experiment so I could make a decision. Which product I saw as superior I will keep to my self to avoid the nay-sayers and avoid an argument thread.

Archoil is a Nano Lubrication Product. Meaning that it accesses areas where Oil may not be able to get to because of Molecular make-up. And, it has several additives to prevent quicker wear of items and perhaps extend life of some parts.

Its hard to say weather it improved anything on my 7.3L. I've always kept it at 100% operating condition. The 6.0L did have a remarkable improvement about 500-1000 miles.

I stopped using it in the 7.3L because of cost. I have had about four oil changes and the oil reports still show it. "Potassium" is still high after 15k. So, it must stray around for a while. Both Rex-X and Archoil use Potassium exclusively.

The Fuel Complex Modifier reduces the Flash Point. Thereby make detonation occur more complete (less waste). This benefit is found almost immediately. The other is a detergent which of course takes several tanks to begin to loosen and dissolve deposits.
