cap/rotor/plugs
Got a set of spark plugs, because the #1 plug looked bad, so I changed them all,
question on the cap and rotor: how bad does it have to be before you change them?
the rotor had some black soot on it, but I wiped it off with a rag,
the cap had some white soot on it, but I can remove it with a rag,
the cap isnt' cracked,

Usually they are inexpensive enough most people just swap them out for new if there's any question about how long they've been on there, or it's been 25k. One thing though, when it comes to replacement parts, especially ignition parts, it's best to use OEM - Motorcraft. I wouldn't replace it with a no-name generic just because it's new. There is just so much junk out there these days.
