OK - I have looked everywhere and do not see any youtubes or diagrams that show how to hook up external lights to the Upfitter Switches. The owner's manual says there is a bundle of blunt cut wires in the passenger side kick panel and I found that. However, none of them are labeled as they describe.
Anyone out there have any better information on this?
The ones in the kick panel are the 4 pass thru wires. The upfitter Blunt cut switch wires are under the hood on the drivers side under the upfitter relay box. Take the upfitter relay box off it makes it a lot easier to get to them.

If you have problems with short wires from the upfitter switch or just want more room to work with them the relay box can be unclipped from the inner fender. Just unclip from the inner fender if more work space is needed.
I'm trying to hook up some LEDs using the built-in upfitter switch module on my 2017 350. Trying to make sense of what little instructions exist online so far! Just need a little guidance and don't want to break anything, which is why I'm here...
I located the wires in the engine under the fuse box. Do I simply need to connect the lights to the desired wire, then ground it and good to go? Or do I also need to find the wires under the steering column and connect one there?
From what I've been reading, it sounds like the connection needs to be completed under the steering column between the wire near the fuse box and the desired switch. Is that accurate? (At least this is what videos from pre-2017 models show...)
Or is it really as simple as connecting one wire under the upfitter fuse box and calling it a day?
The pass throughs in the kickpanel - where is the other end of the bundle?
Unless I misread, the other end of the bundle is inside the hood area on the drivers side fender under the relay box. The linked video shows it actually under the header tank. But I could be all wet as the war department insists.
I have a question with my 6.4 liter serial number is it possible to identify it with my VIN number of my truck? Can I find out if that motor belongs to my truck pair it together?
Thanks for all the info in this thread. I just contacted my dealer about possibly getting them to install upfitters in my 2017 F350 Lariat 6.2L DRW. He said he didn't think it'd be a problem - asked me to confirm if it had the moonroof, electronic dimming rear view mirror, power rear glass, and then asked me to email him my VIN. He quoted me ~$240 for just the overhead console and told me he'd email me back all the rest of what I'd need. Will let you guys know how it goes.
My truck came w/o the Ultimate package but with lots of the goodies added in separately. 2 things I really wish it had - upfitters and the heated steering wheel. Not even going to try and see what it'd cost to get a heated steering wheel added after the fact!
Someone here has done an upfitter retrofit. I read the thread about a month ago or so. Just search this forum. It was very detailed in parts, prices, and installation.

There is a Ford Site that is for VIN look up. Just Google it.
