Driving me crazy,
Please help, I fighting with a 2005 6.0 idles all day long until you push on the brake pedal or turn the wheel. I have replaced the cps and put the truck on the computer which shows no faults in the truck ficum, injectors anywhere. The only discrepancy I have noticed is the fuel tank is full to the top and the guage notes reads just above 1/4 I'm 80 miles from a mechanic but managed to. Find one to put it on the computer which reviled no faults? Going nuts here.

The one thing the steering and brakes have in common is the power steering pump. iirc, there are some previous threads addressing power steering pump valve failure causing load on engine enough to stall it at idle, maybe??? Also, Maybe torque converter not unlocking???
