Can someone pls give me a general guide, for making the braided, high pressure lines from a Saginaw pump. I will figure out the end size and angles, just needed to know the size of the line, who makes the best fittings for diy, and where to buy it.

Just for reference when dealing with AN sized lines........The AN size denotes 16ths of an inch.......so a -6 would be 6/16ths........or 3/8's.....I just built lines for my 4BT conversion that utilizes a Saginaw pump. The return line was easy......ordered a chunk of bulk 3/8 PS return line from Rock Auto. Both the pump and the old return line at the P/S gear were just common bubble style hose barb on the tubes.........cut hose to length and used a couple of hose clamps. The pressure side was a bit more involved. I had the pressure hose that came on the Saginaw pump from the Dodge and I had the pressure hose that was on my original 351M pump. I used the metal tube portions from both those pressure hoses. I cut the tubes then found some male -6x1/2 NPT nipples that I could cut off the NPT portion and leave the hex for a wrench on the -6 piece. I then re-bored the hole thru the -6 pieces to just slightly larger than the OD of the tube portions I needed to use. Then I inserted the tubes into the holes I just bored and brazed them up. Then all I required to get from the pump to the gear was the correct length -6 hose with female ends. I have heard that NAPA will build custom P/S hoses, with what ever mix and match ends you need. However, I want to build this truck so that if I am in BFE and happen to blow a hose....I can find something.....not be stuck there for a week while I wait on custom parts. You can always find someone to build a simple JIC hose......if one of my custom tube portions fails.....I order the appropriate hose assy. ('78 Ford or '95 Dodge) take it to a local mom and pop repair shop (or a farm shop, or construction company shop etc.) and have them braze a -6 nipple on and go.......Hope this all made sense, there are some pics above of my hose setup.......
As far as getting a braided stainless hose built......google "hydraulic hoses" for your area......if that fails walk into some of the local heavy equipment or farm equipment dealers or heavy truck shops......and start asking questions......its all pretty common stuff in that world.....
