It seems like these guys were just asking for it though. They put up videos of "smoking" other cars, cyclists and pedestrians with their exhaust plumes.
I think that is old news about the diesel bros being sued by doctors. Very worried about folks having to occasionally inhale some diesel smoke...but by all means, go ahead and smoke weed. No problem. Its good for ya.

Agreed...the hypocrisy is just ooooozing.
Now, I'm no tree-hugger here...however, I don't smoke (cigarettes or otherwise) so having my vehicle filled up with a bunch of soot when the redneck in front of me decides to "roll coal", well that's in the same league as someone taking a big puff off a cigarette and blowing it straight in your face. I mean really...why???
I would like to see some scientific data on these EPA guidelines. I can't believe that a vehicle getting 10 mpg better, would pollute more per mile than a vehicle with all this emissions equipment.
These lawsuits are frivolous. Take trains for example, there are thousands of diesel locomotives still in use, built in the 80's- 90's, that run 24 hours a day 7 days per week.

Their are also tons of asbestos still in buildings and on pipes, insulating and doing its job...this doesn't mean its not bad for you. Cmon man...

And the railroads are having to upgrade to tier 4 emission standards as well.

Come on Troverman nobody is really saying smoking weed is good for you (but I know some are). The main argument is that weed is less harmful then smoking cigs and drinking alcohol. Smoking weed doesn't ruin your life but get caught with it does.

Maybe weed isn't as harmful as cigs or alcohol but I can assure you the people who have risen to the position to afford a new super duty do not smoke weed regularly. I'll keep my super duty and die young/motivated
Many moons ago I was towing up the steepest grade at the highest altitude of Hwy 80 in Northern CA in a 1985 6.9 liter diesel F250.
Up along side me pulls a beat up, rusted Volvo station wagon with a young lady in dreadlocks hanging out the window shouting "LONG COLUMNS OF BLACK SMOKE!!!"
We laughed at the time as there was really nothing I could do about it. Looking in my mirrors I was indeed putting out enough smoke to hide an army.
Thankfully today that kind of soot production is for me no longer necessary nor justifiable. Hopefully those that want to take diesel off the roads will come to appreciate the level of diesel technology today. Those that roll-coal are not not helping.
