Dropped in on my rails, it weighs 52 lbs and hooking up is a dream. Get the ball over the funnel and drop your rig, twist the spring load key and roll. Makes 5th wheel plate setup look like stone age. Love the 360 flex and its quiet. Easy to see with camera or looking out the back window.
Its setup to be removable, but I am thinking of welding the plate on since this 5th wheel will be around for a long time I am thinking...
Not to offend but Man has technology come a long way I'm sure it's been tested and is safe but it sure looks flimsy once again I'm sure it's safe just looks so small compared to my Reese elite
Keep us posted on how it works!

Leaving out today for a 2 week run.
I looked at a lot and in fact had the Reese Evolution and found it to be a great unit. It was my first 5th setup.
So why did I give that up? The ball provides for 360 degree flex leading to a smoother and quieter ride. The 2 curved supports you see in my foto are incredibly strong, it is in fact a superior design that has proven its mettle over thousands of years. Its an arch and you can travel the world over and find it in structures still standing for thousands of years.
I am not sure why a plate system is used rather than a gooseneck????
I doubt I'll be trading in my B&W Patriot anytime soon, but I am intrigued by how light these and the Anderson are... I wonder how they compare during actual towing?
I need to buy a hitch for my F450 in the spring. I'm torn between air (BD3), fixed (B&W Companion) and light weight (Anderson). It seems nearly every owner of these three loves their hitch.
Complaints for these three are almost non-existent and the naysayers for each typically don't own the hitch they criticize.

I"ll be running a TS3 Trailer Saver. They have an adapter plate that works with the puck system.
Expensive?...yes, very much so. Heavy?...oh yes.
Would I have anything else as the attachment point between my $76K truck and $100K+ 5ver?...nope.
Keep in mind that this is a very heavy hitch and probably not what you're looking for if you need to have constant access to the flat floor of the bed. In my case, my F450 will be primarily a dedicated TV for the 5ver. Plus, I have a tractor to help me remove the hitch when required.

Looks that you don't have the puck system on your truck any reason not?

I have been running a TS3 for 6 years - what do you want to know, besides the lack of grease points and bushings that allows parts to wear out that are not replaceable?

I've been running the Fixed 26k Trailer-saver since 06 and it's been a great hitch. Love the positive locking Holland-Binkley head. But as you stated, there is a lack of grease points. In the spring I tear down and clean/lube everything before the camping season. Other than that, I've had no issues with it.
And yes they are extremely heavy; less so than yours though.
17 Oaks, I've only seen them at RV shows. They looked very durable and didn't really see anything that would have concerned me. Let us know how your maiden voyage goes and drive safe!
Had a good days pull on Thursday from hilly ranch roads, San Antonio traffic, Interstate high speed, Austin stop/go.
I am not just pressed, but Impressed!
Quiet, very quiet
Smooth, very smooth
Surprised? Not really, but yes (I did not want to be overly optimistic) better than I expected. Its a ball and cup design, short neck goose, and virtually bulletproof. Pullrite recommends WD40 for lube!! Close tolerances keep ball from bouncing around the cup like a BB in a boxcar. No clunking, shifting, jerking, hard off camber turns are quite and smooth due to 360 degree flex in the ball and cup. Hooking up is fast and easy. Just get ball over and inside the rim of cup and drop it, your hooked up. Locking/unlocking even easier. There are no lateral forces on the locking pin therefore no binding. The locking pin rides on the upper part of the ball and contains vertical movement.
This is a simple foolproof design that has stood the test of time.
The tabernacle is supported by 2 roman arches a design used for thousands of years and one of the strongest. Internally it uses a double stacked boxed design for lateral support. The Pullrite is Strong!
I do not know enough about Anderson to do a good comparo but I believe its similar.
Weight 52 lbs (steel)
I kicked my 16k to the curb the day I saw this. IMO this is a superior solution to the plate/kingpin system in the <20,000 towed/4000 pin weight class.
Still have miles to go before I get back on the 23rd...
Here's my TS3 Trailer Saver and adapter and as said, yea they are heavy, combined right at 400 lbs. My engine hoist makes it easy though, yea they are expensive.....if you buy them new. After a LOT of looking I bought this barely used 4 yr. old hitch for $1300 shipped to the house. The adapter plate I found on Ebay ...... $55 !! the shipping cost more than the plate. I would NEVER go back to a non- air bag hitch.
Is that red carabiner for your brake cable? If so you need to connect your brake cable to the rails not the hitch. If the hitch happens to break and come loose then your brakes won't engage.
