You are not supposed to. But if you must, lift seat half way up. When you lift the seat, the back rest will move up and forward. Slide your hand in between back wall and seat back, and feel around the locking latch on the rear of the seat. There should be a latch the you are able to move forward, and it will unlock.
save you the trouble, there is nothing you can store back there. There are electronics components and heavy wiring.
