I have this shortbed '63 Uni with the Custom Cab and the Big Rear window options. There are two pieces of 1/4" stainless trim on the dash - a long one on the right side of the instruments and a short companion one on the left.
This is really nice trim and looks to be factory installed since it is perfectly placed right on the "apex" of the dash. I have looked at many photos of these trucks and have never seen this trim piece. Lots of photos of the pieces that are used to separate a two-tone paint scheme below the where this is mounted.
Can this be a factory piece for big window trucks? or just aftermarket with a great installation job?
Also - notice in the photo I have a 1/2" wide stainless trim that runs just below the windshield across the entire dash. Is this a factory piece for Custom Cabs?
