Low power???

Hey fine folks,
I hope you all area having a great start to the new year!

I need some help or advise tracking down a persistent loss of power.

They truck has had a rough few years being worked really hared with 100k pounds of rock moving for landscaping, hay Hauling , roofing and so much more.

for most of this it seems to have run quite well but in the past month it seems a bit more sluggish than we are use to.

I know i need to do the drivers side inj. o-rings,
I think we have bit of vacuum leak. ( the heater switches vents really slow and hisses when the truck is turn off.) Not sure if this would cause lack of giddy-up or is unrelated.

seams like I should check for burnt pins on the UVCW harness.

Fuel filter looks good, and I am have an oil sample in the mail..
There are not Codes.. Well other than 1111 System pass=)

Are the other simple things I can check to start tracking down this problem??

THANK YOU TO ALL who read this!!
best wishes to you all!!!

J

fuel pressure?
oil level ok?
what boost are you getting?
check for intake and exhaust leaks?
no fuel means no boost

since you have a scanner what is IPR% duty?

Vacuum has nothing to do with engine operation; that's a gasser-only thing.

Can your device do other diagnostic tests, such as buzz and cylinder contribution?

Yes, it's always wise to check the UVCH terminals/connectors.

+1 ^^^^^ oil level, also, how OLD (miles) is the oil?

Your vacuum leak most likely is below the passenger side hood hinge. Its a white line that gets rubbed and falls apart. Carefully cut out the bad spot and use a rubber vac line from the auto parts store to splice it together. Make a bigger lope so the hood hinge doesn't rub it.

Great, glad to hear that the vacuum leak is not related,, I will check the hinge area. but still have to fix it..

May scanner is my super chips tuner so no luck on running other tests of getting info from the IPR or at least that I know of.
Same goes for Boost since I am only running a pyro,

oils is less then 4k but will know more when I get the sample results back.

Still you all have given me a bunch of stuff to check out.. I was hopping to get in to it today but we are just getting hammered by weather.. so it might be few days before I can get more answers.

Thank you all SOO Much!

this is super helpful!
