Hi guys, new here so introducing myself. I'm pretty active on another Ford truck forum but figured I'd join up here as well. I'm pretty good with FORScan so if anyone here has some questions, don't hesitate to ask
Hey livnitup, you've got quite the reputation I hear!
Got a fairly specific question about Forscan and the 11-16 superduty's. I'm looking to accomplish the variable line level output from my XLT radio with Sync and not sure I trust the findings from the 15-17 F150 work that you and the members on the other forum have accomplished as its a totally different head unit.
Any chance you've done some investigative work on the older head units to see if you can crack the code on them? I unfortunately don't have access to an O-scope or I would do the digging myself...
Let me know if you have some findings or know of a better person to ask, thanks in advance!
I haven't done any testing with 2011-16 Super Duties myself but the below values may be applicable to yours
Audio - Variable Line Level Preamp Output from Speaker Wiring
(ACM)727-01-01 (2013+ MY)
xxXX xxxx xxxx
00 - Regular Speakers (Default)
A0 - Sony DSP (Factory)
59 - Variable Line Level Output w/Subwoofer Aux (Optional)
Note: Connect RCA Wires to Existing Speaker Wire Coming Out of ACM or Before Sony DSP Amplifer (if equipped)
Reference Thread: Variable Line Level Preamp Outputs From ACM (Factory Radio) For Amplifier Upgrades
Thanks, I've read through his thread there as well doing the research. I tried changing that line however and got no audible difference from the factory setup (HU still wired direct to speakers). I kind of assumed I'd be able to hear a difference...maybe I'm wrong here.
Maybe you can elaborate on the Aux 1 and 2 channels also. What auxiliaries are those referencing?

I'm very inexperienced in stereo wiring and the terminology so I generally refer people to those who have a better grip on it than me so I'd suggest pm'ing DanMc85 at the link I posted since he's much better suited to answer those type of questions.

I am very new......I have a forscan question. I ordered 2017 f250 xl 6.7. Fully loaded with bigger screen and remote start. I wanted a lariat minus the chrome w/ vinyl and rubber floor. I have 3 kids and we boat alot. However I had lariats in past and still wanted some of features EXAMPLE garage remote, powersliding rear and keypad for driver door. The dealer got me part FL3Z14A626AB same as a lariat keypad however they have been not able to get programmed. They have had a wide array of excuses, first they blamed no harness to plug, then the remote start, then say BCM does not have code in it no keypad function, not compatible and I would need to purchase another BCM. They plugged it into behind door panel due to my persistance and telling them there is a harness. I have been told by other members this can be programmed for my truck through forscan. The dealer seems to be making excuses and not putting much effort into resolving so I am here to research myself. I am a civil servant and have a large fleet division, the service techs there have also told me this can be done. I dont want to give up and feel that somehow this can work w/new truck. I havent taken off lot yet an waiting for directions. Kinda disappointed in there lack of trying and knowledge. They told me the part is in middle console and good luck getting it to work. please advise.
Keypad can be enabled in FORScan so long as you have it hooked up in the door harness. The code to enable it is in BCM below:
726-37-01 x*xx xxxx xxxx - Keypad Enable Cfg: 0=disabled, 1=enabled
If you have the Sync 3 8" screen you can also add the Door Keypad Menu to the settings, Vehicle icon with the following:
Ok. I'm still getting the hang of it. Truck has bigger 8in screen all around cameras. They said it does not even come up. I'm gonna go there n see for myself. Could they have possible turned off being able to see it? Or perhaps my bcm don't have it? Do I need a vehicle code? Once I get there I don't want them to try anything funny n make me think they are right. Thx
When they said "it doesn't even come up" they're probably talking about an option for them to enable it in IDS (dealership programming software) so just make sure it's wired to the connector in the driver door panel and then do the changes I gave you in FORScan and try it out.
Just got back from dealer. They could not figure it out. It showed up but they couldn't get to go on. I'm getting them to put in pillar n button up 0 door. Ill do it myself once I get it home. There's 8s only through IDS n they can't so they say. Wish someone on here had step by steps for them to program it through IDS. There making it sound like its impossible.
If they don't have a programmable parameter for enabling the keypad then their only other option is through as-built programming for BCM where they would have to enter every single value of every single address in BCM just to be able to set the following:
726-37-01 x1xx xxxx xxxx Keypad Enable Cfg: 0=disabled, 1=enabled
This would probably take them over an hour just to do this so I can understand why they don't want to do this (if they even know the address/value above to do manually).
This is why FORScan is better than IDS for quick value changes.
