I have a 1979 f100 302 2wd and I am wanting to put it on a 1979 4wd frame. The 4wd frame has a 300 i6 and 4 speed trans, the main question is will I need new motor mounts for my 302 to go into the 4wd and will the bell housing from the 300 bolt to a 302? Thank You for looking and helping!!!!!
X2 on the bell housing being the same. Don't forget you'll need to also make sure you have the correct flywheel & clutch parts.
the 4x4 frame has towers that the engine perches on, I'm not sure if they'd be the same for a I6 -sb. If you have time you can try looking different items up on rock auto for instance. Write part numbers down and see what interchanges that way.

No F100 4WD's after 1976. Excepting 1969/77 Bronco, there were no 302's with 4WD until 1980.
1980/96 F150 4WD/Bronco 302 and 1969/77 Bronco 302 engine mounting parts will not work on 1973/79 F series 4WD trucks.
