KEY FOB ORDER HELP

Where do you find the key number to give the parts Guy at FORD to order key duplicate? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When order the FOB give the parts guy your VIN and he should be able to look it up.

Thanks, I did that, hopping for a faster way. He is taking care of me. I gave him every number I could find to no avail. Thanks again.

The owners manual shows that the tag on the key whey you get your truck should be saved for key ordering.

I don't think you need to give them a number for a "duplicate"
That's what the programming slot hidden in the console is for...no?

There is a number associated with the physical key, a blank transmitter can be programmed with two programmed transmitter that came with the truck.

I thought I was going to need this after my wife washed my fob.
Still works after putting it in rice.

That's a touchy subject. If I ever complain about my wife washing my clothes she'll just tell me I can wash my own and never have any concerns. Me? I'm keeping my mouth shut!

Good to know the fob survived a wash though.
