Taking a Cruise

Hi all,
Ok, how many of you all have ever been on a cruise ?

I've been on one cruise, and its the best vacation I've ever been on. (We stayed on the Voyager going through the Caribbean, 7 day cruise)
So, what are your opinions on cruises, any of you guys ever been on one ?
Will you ever take another one ?

A buddy of mine took one to alaska and said he had the time of his life, except for the shower the size of a small closet. He said that if you dropped the soap, you had to get out to pick it up!

The wife and I took one last Feb. and loved it!!! We did the western carribean for 7 days out of Galveston. Well worth the money! Granted the showers are on the small side and if you get an outside cabin the sun wakes you up at 6:30 every morning.
There is always something fun going on on the ship or you can just lay by the pool and drink and look at the "scenery"..
Ohh the Carribean I miss it soo....

Taking a Cruise

Hey guys! It wasn't a cruise, but a large ferry from Bar Harbor Ma. to Nova Scotia! It was great! Gambled for a bit, had a huge buffet breakfast, gambled a bit more, had a lunch that was just as good as breakfast. Went to the upper deck and got a tour of the helm. Went down about 8 decks to check out the loading area of cars and trucks. The entire 10 hour trip was more than I thought it would be. It was worth the $75.00!
Talk with you guys later....

I've taken 2 cruises. I loved both of them and would go again in a minute!! I think they're alot of value and you basically pay for everything up front so you know in advance what your vacation will cost.

Taking a Cruise

I've only been on a one day "cruise to nowhere", but it was fun. A couple of years ago I won a free 5 day 5 night vacation to Nassau in the Bahamas. We really had a terific time. We went over to Paradise Island and saw all the big cuise ships sitting there in the harbor.

You're wondering how "free" the vacation was? They flew us from Chicago to Ft Lauderdale and then in a smaller plane to Nassau. The only thing we had to pay for was food. They even paid the tip for the housekeeper at the hotel. Rooms at the hotel were normally $250.00 per night. I won it from Travelzoo.com and they never contacted me about an endorsement or anything.
