Not to get off the price subject, but I was looking on craigslist today and found a set of 2003 F350 front and rear springs , with the Code UP . How do the U and P springs compare to the V/B or C springs?
If it helps, take a look at this thread that I started. It has before and after picks of my Ex. I took off an aftermarket 4" lift (unknown manufacturer since done by PO and springs front/blocks rear) and put on ATS X/modified C codes. ATS was a pleasure to work with and customer service was top notch. I also bought Bilstein 5100s from Amazon. Cannot comment on ride quality since that is highly subjective, as stated before, and I was not coming from stock setup.......although I, and the whole family, greatly appreciate the new ride. My height measurements would not matter to you since I was coming from a lifted vehicle to this setup......but I will say that these springs still lift it enough to clear at least 33s at the moment and give the factory rake (still trying to get used to that part). https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...s-learned.html
Only thing that I now contemplate of possibly doing differently if I could would be to do the drop hangers/leveling kit that Krazee Matt did....but I may get used to this rake.

Correct, at least for the U codes (I don't have any data on the P code rears), the factory PSD fronts were D codes rated at 4700lbs and the U codes according to my notes are rated at 4800lbs vs the V code's 5200lb rating.

Yeah hard to find any official info on the P. They appear to have the same rating as the B but something is different because the part # is different. Speculation is that the arch is different. Paired with the softer front U codes my best "wild-*** guess" is that the P is a lower-ride height B to keep the normal Ford rake.
It would be interesting to get hands on P and B springs side by side to see. If my wild-*** guess is right, V/P springs might be the "no rake" version of the V/B.
That might be a good combination then ,U/P? A little softer ride then the V/B and maybe a little less rake. I asked how much and how many approx miles on them but no response yet
Well he responded said about 185k on truck the came off of and $275 for all four springs, opinions? Will they bolt right in and is the U code enough for the 7.3?
I don't expect U/P to have less rake. They're heavier than what you have, softer than what most run. Can't really say anything beyond that; you're in uncharted territory.
If you do the U codes let me know how they work out. I have a set in the garage to go on when I have time. Also going to do a 4 inch block in the back. Eventually I want front and rear air bags.
I offered the guy $200 for all for because honestly like you all said there just isn't good info on the P's and they have a lot of miles on them. We will see what happens but still thinking ATS V/C in a few months is ultimately my best bet
