Ready as I'll ever be, a little concerned of an old irrigation vent pipe in my backyard that may overflow....off to the shop for a few hours. Have a great day gents
I didn't take any pictures today, but we had 1-1/2" of snow at the house and drove 85 miles to McArthur in 4wd at 25-30. Because the plows were having trouble keeping up.
It's funny that when I got home this evening, there was a 20 mile stretch where the snow was gone but we still have 3/4" in the yard.
The biggest part of it has not hit here yet. According to the weather guessers we will get the main part between 9 AM and noon today.
None-the-less, so far this morning we've had wind gusts up to 74 MPH, and total rain accumulation for yesterday through 7:30 this morning is right about 2-1/2".
This is the wind profile for the last 24 hours from our weather station:

Has that vent ever spewed like a geyser during Irrigation season Joe , hey free yard water , I wouldn't stress in these conditions I think they have other gates open to release water from backing up, over in our pipe about 1' sits in that pipe year round , come first irrigation I flush it to the Amond field , then bring it in to the pasture .
Crazy Windy day today, not much rain yet but I know it's calm before the storm, fire going and football is on , just one lazy day for me lol
Yeah. We're getting hammered again this morning. We've gotten over 8" of the wet stuff (so far) for the week.
Our power was out for pretty much all day yesterday (8 AM - 11:30 PM). An oak tree next door came down on the power lines, and conveniently blocked both our and our next-door neighbor's driveways. I might have pulled out the chainsaw except for the wet tree laying on live power line issue.
