Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Survived the day. Nice sea breeze blowing now.
Boat back to purring like a kitten. Just need to decide if we are going to take off before Labor Day or after.
Morning Pat, and all to follow. Smoke didn't seem as bad yesterday, however visibility wasn't much better. Not as hot so that may have helped. Daughters soccer game was cancelled due to air quality.
Good morning Oregon, I heard they evacuated a town up in Saskatchewan due to the smoke they are encountering because of smoke. Seems the whole west coast is burning and others are being flooded out in other parts...
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. It was blue skies when I was outside at 0630 and a marine layer has moved in. I can see blue sky now on the coast range horizon.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Survived the day. Unfortunately, the faucet on the sink in the Galley did not. New one on order. Did successfully get some new water pipe plumbed in from the water tank to the sink. The previous owner had apparently put an electric pump in. it was old and completely toast so I pulled it out and had to put in a new supply line. Then I found out the seals in the old hand pump faucet were dried out, brittle and cracked.
Hello Jim, I guess this is on the boat you're doing the plumbing..?
Yes. Just some little touches here and there that I had planned on doing since day one. It has a small sink with a 13 gallon water tank. Should keep us in drinking water and coffee water for the day and we can then leave the one gallon milk jugs full of water on shore and not taking up space. We have a one burner Coleman Duel Fuel Camp Stove that we keep on board for coffee, hot coco and a heater. With the top up and the flaps down, it heats it up in there almost too good.
Jim post a pic of the pump I drive past Englund Marine and they have a bunch of pumps.
Thanks Chris, but you won't find it at Englund.
I don't plan on putting an electric pump back into it. It was not OEM and it isn't worth the expense to fill a couple of cups of water or a coffee pot. It had a hand pump faucet in it that the seals were shot in. I've got one of those on order that will be here Friday.
3 Sonars, 2 GPS, 2 VHF Radios, AM-FM-CD, 1 million CP light, 2 mile nav lights, 3 Cuddy Cabin Lights, 12 volt circular cooling fan in the cuddy cabin, a hot wired to Bat 1-always availble automatic bilge pump...already plenty of electric to strain the 2 12 volt batteries with.
