Hey everybody! So I purchased a 1997 F250HD with a 460 almost a year ago. It's in very good shape with 244,000 km on it. I have done some front end work to it and want to keep it in good shape. It has recently developed a good rear main leak and is leaving good sized puddles on my shop floor. So I am going to run it as is for the rest of the winter because it is my sledding truck but I want to pull the engine and give it a rebuild/refresh/reseal come spring. I will also look over the tranny at that time (E4OD). Before spring rolls around I would like to have this MAP computer system converted over to the MAF system. When I do my rebuild I would like to throw some minor performance bolt on parts at it. Nice cam, headers, head work, free flowing exhaust, emission deletes (this is an "off road" vehical ). From what my research tells me my current MAP system is almost useless when it comes to performance mods unless you want to spend hours getting somebody build you a program for your mods every time you do a mod. As far are the new MAF system goes I think I am going with the Fiveology system. I am going to call them next week and check it out and possibly order it up. Does anybody have experience with their products? Do I need a tuner to delet the emission stuff so I don't have engine lights (I assume I do)? I would like to convert it to MAF before rebuild so that I have all those bugs worked out before I start putting other mods on it. Anyway enough rambling on haha I will keep everybody posted on what I am doing. Any thoughts or pointers from experience would be greatly appreciated!
