Water Temperature gauge.. Help..?

Water Temperature gauge.. Help..?
i want to install an after market water temp gauge in my '89 7.3. Non-turbo. What all do i need? And how do i do it?

It's really just a matter of selecting the gauge you like, then installing the sensor. I put mine in where the factory overtemp sensor went. Works fine.

You have 2 choices- a mechanical gauge with a permanently attached capillary tube and sensing bulb or an electrical gauge with a separate sending unit that must be attached to the gauge with a wire. The sensing bulb/sending unit must be installed into a threaded port in the engine's water jacket.
