All,
I have a 1963 F350 dully that I'm just starting to update the brake system. I'm wanting to upgrade to power drum with the inclusion of a booster. Do I need a two well master cylinder and would I need any extra external parts i.e. Proportioning valve etc. can anyone recommend a booster and MC or send me to a link as I'm sure this is a much discussed topic.
I realize this is old, but this is the booster you need and the MC that would have come with your truck, I have a 64 F350 DRW. A little too steep for me, but they dont come up too often.

Your telling me....your the first to answer and Ive been checking since posting it. Starting to worry that my posts had B.O. Thanks, I've been waiting on someone.....
well yeah of course you can use any one, it depends on what you are looking for. I wanted an original one. If you buy one like that you'd have to make a bracket to mount it at the required angle. I saw one on eBay a year or so ago and bought it for $60 w/o a MC to have as a spare.

In your initial post you did not mention you wanted an original, and asked if you needed a 2 well, which of course would not be original. If you already have a drum brake booster that doesn't require adapters or modification, then all you need to do is bolt your MC to it.

Will this work on a 1963 F350? The Ebay vehicle application says it doesn't fit the truck.
thanks
Dan
It does not fit the truck directly... the trucks have a larger booster and a 4 bolt pattern on the booster, not 3. I am sure you can get anything to work with enough fab work, but no this would not be "correct" for a 63 truck. The only one that would not require mods would be the one I posted unfortunately
While I'm not a stickler for stock original, I do want to stay away from modifications if at all possible. Having said that I will try to stay with something original or at worst minor modification. I appreciate the information.
I'll try to pay more attention to whose "speaking". Here's one that will take less modification. As the ad states, you will need to elongate the holes in your MC to fit the bolt pattern, but that should be pretty easy with a die grinder.
Just my 2 cents. If you are going to take the effort to improve your brakes then you will want to do the dual MC. When a single master fails you have "0" brakes, when a dual fails you at least have a prayer.
All the vehicles I have upgraded I just bought a booster/master from the first year listing of that vehicle that had a dual. According to ND, that would be the 67.
