Rikster, I almost sent you a PM because I didn't want to hijack the thread, but if anyone wants to know how I did it they will forever be guessing.

So...

When the tank was down and the filler neck was exposed, I simply removed the neck by removing the 3 screws near the cap holding it in place. Then I took a rotary tool like a Dremel to it with a tungsten blade like the one below.



I just guessed and widened the fill neck quite a bit and it was more than enough to accept the nozzle of the big truck pumps. I believe that the I.D. of the pumps is 1", so 1.25" should be plenty. Just keep going around and measure when you get bored/tired.

Then, be very thorough with flushing the neck out with water and letting it dry. I installed the Racor PS120 at the same time so I was not concerned about debris getting into the fuel system, but did a good job of rinsing the neck.
