CAMPER SHELL-CAB STOP LIGHT
I'm going to be installing a camper shell on a 2017 F150 SC soon is there a way to turn off the cab stop light?

I think they just remove the bulb.

I thought about taking the bulb out but I think it's a LED and I'm sure if it will set a warning off on the dash. Truck comes in this week so all I have is the online owners manual.

Would be nice if there was a way to wire the cargo light so that it turned on interior lights in the camper shell.
I assume this generation of trucks still have the CHMSL wire somewhere under the bed for wiring in the third brake light on the topper?

Okay, I'll ask...why bother turning off the light?

My guess (and reason) is to get rid of the annoying glow/glare in the cab that can happen with the camper in.

I installed the camper shell today. I removed the bulbs and everything is working just fine. I was led to believe that the bulbs were LEDs but turned out to be regular old incandescent.
