My buddy has a 92 and he needs a quiet muffler for it. The thrush that he has on is too loud and he keeps getting pulled over. We checked with the ford dealler and they said that they don't have a oem replacement for him.
I'm guessing that he's running blown out thrush glasspacks... Check out Walker's Quietflow mufflers, I think you can find them at Meineke. Summit turbo mufflers should be pretty quiet too.
What exhaust is he running on his truck right now??
Unless he's running no cats and no mufflers I don't see why the cops would be hasslin' him... I have a Thrush turbo and I would hardly call it loud.
Hes running no cats into a thrush muffler. And actually he just bought a cherry bomb muffler not the glass pack and it is quieter. No trouble with the cops yet.
I would second a Gibson muffler. High quality construction, low rumble at the tail pipe, and very quiet in the cab. That should give those cops nothing to complain about!
