My 2010 F150 began making a clicking noise below steering column when adjusting airflow speed and direction. Now the airflow won't change from defrost and floor. Whether on heat or ac the air is dispersed to defrost and floor. I removed the radio and dash and found the actuator behind there. I also found one just to the right of the gas pedal.
I can't find a schematic or diagram anywhere to tell me which actuator does what. I'm inclined to blame the one near the gas pedal since that is where the clicking/grinding noise was from.
Can someone help me with the terminology of the part I'm needing? Blend door actuator or what? Napa sent me home with blend door actuator that doesn't match either that I've found.
The actuator located on the drivers side up under the dash is for floor/defrost blend door, which appears to be the one that is failing. The one behind the radio towards the passenger sides is the temperature blend door for passenger (if dual climate).

You are correct. I ordered the part from O'Reillys and installed it today. Working great now. Thanks
