Blend door stuck

Blowing warm air but only out of passenger side and floor, how can the blend door accessed? does the entire dash need to be removed?

Hi Elmer and welcome to the forum
There is a floor/panel door with a vacuum motor located near the throttle pedal. Maybe take a look and see if that looks like it's working.
To actually get at any of the blend doors I believe that you have to remove the whole dash.
Hopefully HomerWinzlow will be along soon with some more answers for you. He works on more heater/AC problems than I do.

Thanks racerguy, I'll check the vacuum motor out when i get off work today, i dread having to take apart the whole dash just to get to the doors.

In doing so,is there some way to deactivate the air bags?

Well since you said it is coming out the floor I am assuming you are using bilevel position. What is the performance like when running at MAX AC position? A low freon level can cause poor performance on the farthest vents fron the evaporator, expecially at idle or at stops.

Jusr remove a battery terminal for 5 minutes and they are safe....as long as you dont go probing air bag wires with an ohm meter or something

At max AC the two driver side panel vents are blowing cool not cold, all other vents floor as well as passenger panel vents are blowing hot, this problem started when the missus decided that it was too cold and adjusted the temp control ****. ac is not low on freon.
racerguy, the motor which you mentioned to the right of the gas pedal seems to work with the ac mode selector, that part functions ok.

WELL....I had the exact same problem you are having with my 1999 f150, bad news whole dash needs to come down order to fix it, problem is blend door front of the heater core is stuck and it is blocking cool air and letting hot air in and little plastic lever under the blend door is broken and there is no way to fix it you just need to buy new one,or do what I did and get it from junkyard.. ok good news is; ones you reach to blend door it only takes 2 minutes to fix it...but taking dash a part took me forever (I had some extra screws at the end)

arrgh be careful....
good luck

Well make sure the blend door controller itself isnt bad first. Id hate to see you pull the whole dash out just to replace a reasonably easy item to access. Ive even seen people tear into it all, and all that was wrong was a broken **** on the heater control.
