I ordered a F250 KR 6.7 SWD Short Bed, I'm tired of the BS I'm getting from my dealer, truck was ordered 10-16-16, truck was built 12-03-16, ETA was 12-16-16, now the ETA is 1-18-17. I found a F350 KR 6.7 SWD Long Bed, fully loaded, including 5th wheel prep and spray in bed liner. Is there a difference in the ride between the two trucks?
The one lwb HD truck I owned rode marginally better than it's swb counterpart, most noticeable on interstate travels loaded and unloaded. From what I have researched, these new SD 350's ride no different than a comparably equipped 250. The main difference suspension wise is the additional leaf (overload spring) in each side of the rear leaf pack.

Not sure why you feel like your dealer can magically make your truck appear, it is in no way shape or form under there control. There is currently a "deisel stop ship" affecting trucks built about this time. I know because mine is one of them.
As far as ride is concerned, there has never been a shorter wheelbase vehicle that rides better then a longer wheel base vehicle. Physics applies here.
I have test driven several 2016 and 2017 super duty trucks. To me and my family, the long bed rides much better than the short bed. The short bed and the dually have very similar rides, the long bed, especially if you don't have the snow plow or heavy duty front springs, rides great.
My ETA was originally 12/23, then once truck was built on 11/28, the ETA changed to 12/10, I checked again day before delivery and date changed to 12/17, and again it changed to 12/20.... it showed up on 12/21. It isn't a piece of mail things will happen during shipping that are out of the dealer and your control. I would check with Chat and see what the status is.
I have a 350 LWB platinum with the plow prep pkg and FX4. It rides pretty well. Not as good as the Tundra that I traded for it, but not too bad. I was worried the wifey would snarl, but almost nothing but good things from her so far. I think if I can lower the psi in the rears from the 80 thats in there now it may help a bit, but I don't want to wear out the tires either.
But overall the LWB is a good ride.
