hpop---???

what goes wrong with them----?
I got mine out yesterday--- wasn't building enough pressure
how does it build pressure???
can I rebuild mine?
when I take it apart ---and I will--- what should I be looking for??

every thread I read says buy the t500 from riffraff---ok I just might do that
but that a bosh pump--
-does riffraff do something to the bosh pump??
my little school bus just needs to make it to the grand canyon and back
I'm not looking for any thing more than that

They usually don't just fail, they get weaker with time. I've heard they are next to impossible to take apart and if you do you might lose you core for a trade in. The T500 is a great hpop, I have the adrenaline which I think is just a tad better.

Riffraff doesn't do anything to the pump he's just the middle man the guy that builds them does something to put out more volume I believe

If you're not going to upgrade injectors then just get a reman, really no need for a t500 other than to say you have one

I have had this one for several years an love it. 17º all new from bosch, so more oil and no risk of an aftermarket failure since it is genuine OEM.

Bosch 7.3L Powerstroke 17º HPOP 96-97 Ford - HP005X

Stay away from the remans like GB, motorcraft and auto zone. They are junk.

Are you sure the pump isn't making pressure and not a bad injector oring?

what steps did you do to troubles shoot?

many will try to shot gun a parts a kit and fail to fix anything

do you own a scanner?

https://www.amazon.com/Vgate-Bluetoo...rds=vgate+OBD2

Torque Pro
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...g.prowl.torque
Use the communication in the profile
SAE J1850-PWM
make sure you add in Ford PIDs

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ch.CarGaugePro
people like it cause it will pull codes, buzz test and CCT

Some OLD PCM's have to be flashed before you can pull codes

Some have tried to reseal them and worked but the orings can be fun to find.

Did HPOP have oil in it?

Did you do a CODY test?

What engine oil level do you have?

Huh? Not even close. Bad bad bad info.

The IPR let's oil return to the oil pan to regulate pressure to the rails.

don NOT even try it. Its not something possible for anybody but the professionals. I tore one downdown and without special tools you can't reassemble and tear down will likely ruin the valuable core.
You probably have a bad IPR or at last orings or a bad injector upper orioring. Those will cause low hpop pressure.
