Hey guys first post looking for help. I have 94 f150 5.0 parked it the other day after hunting maybe 3hrs went to start it and nothing. Here's where I'm lost I can fire it up with starting fluid and it will run for as long as I let it but It idles really high though around 2000 rpm. Even when warmed up . My check engine light is on but goes off after a few minutes. It also doesn't want to shift out of first anymore it will some times. After letting it rev up but won't go past 2nd. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I replaced the TPS about 8 months ago. Going to get a code reader after work. I hear my fuel pump kick on to prime the lines but when I check them there is no pressure. But after I spray starting fluid in it she fires right up and runs till I shut it off. But won't shift out of first gear. Could bad vacuum lines cause it not to start?
