1997 F350

I swapped a 1995 4.9l into a 1997 F350 that originally had a 5.8l and E4OD tranny, I got the complete engine harness with the 4.9l and found a PCM from a 1993 f-150 that had a 4.9l and E4OD tranny as the truck the 4.9l came from had a manual tranny. I should be able to plug everything in and have it work correct? The F350 does NOT have OBDII and neither did the truck I got the 4.9l from. I am not worried about emission codes I do not need to pass a test just a general inspection in my state. I just want to get it to run then worry about any codes etc, am I thinking correct or am I missing something?

In theory it should work, but there may be small details that pop up. You are hoping a 1993 PCM will plug into a 1995 harness and run a 1995 engine and 1997 trans. So the only sticky points will be the 1993 PCM and the 1997 trans. You know you will be good with the engine. The only suggestion I have is to get the diagrams for a 1993, 1995, and a 1997 and study them to see if it all works. Try here for the diagrams. Search Wiring Diagrams
