Replacement 2150

I have the "Stumble" thread going and if I don't figure this out soon, I may just try a remanufactured carb. I think the choke mechanism on mine is actually missing pieces anyways.

I found this:

https://www.amazon.com/1977-MOTORCRA.../dp/B00D2G4K4Q

Price is reasonable, but my truck has AC, and as part of the throttle linkage, there's an electronic doohickey on there that seems to adjust the idle up a bit when the compressor cycles. Would that simply bolt on to this, or do I need to look for a specific carb for an AC equipped truck?

To add, I haven't yet given up on the old one, but I'm definitely running out of ideas. Fuel pressure is about the only other thing to check.

Fuel pressure (and volume) is the first thing to check, not the last, then fuel height in the bowl, ignition timing, etc.

A new carb won't help, on account if the fact it will need everything setup too, as well. The best adjustment anyone can make on a carb is to select the correct size carb to begin with. A gazillion factors go into this from the OEM. Gearing, engine size, transmission etc.

Truck came with a 2150 and I'm only interested in replacing it with the same if it warrants replacement.

The 2100 have a problem when they get lots of use, the butterfly throttle rod wallers out the carb body and vacuum leaks result. These can't be tuned out. 2150 is probably the same deal. The fix is to bore out the journals and press in a bushing. No big deal but vacuum leaks are the achilles heal of a good tune. Rebuilt carbs can get pretty spendy from the commercial outlets for what you get..

Check the manual for the correct size venturi for your truck, they may send you the wrong size. A phone call can prevent annoying return shipping times.

That is the kicker solenoid it is held in place with a screw, it just unbolts from the carb all the 2150's are fitted with the threaded hole and locating pin boss for the kicker solenoid
