Anyone else have this issue?
It was about 5 degrees out, Hit some sleet like crap. The windshield would ice over starting at the top if going faster than 30mph. (Was going 60-70)
I'd have to stop every 20 miles or so and scrape a thick layer of ice off, then it was start again almost instantly.
The defrost was on hi, and hot (this started happening 200 miles into a 350 mile trip).
It didn't help that the washer fluid wasn't coming out...
If ice is falling from the sky, there isn't a heater in the world that can keep up. The newer "quietglass" windshields are even worse, because they are thicker.
Try the washer fluid spray to clear the ice. I do that in the mornings when the windshield is frosted over, cleans it right up, along with the defroster.
