Can the standard trans crossmember be used for the AOD trans. i used it, it bolted up ok but not sure if it kept the trans yoke/universal & the pinion/universal in same angle... thought i would eliminate a possible concern ahead of time. i know the cheby's have separate crossmembers. ty
the reason im asking is after engine, trans, driveshaft, fr. end work, tire balance & fr.end aleinment i had the van up to 50 mph once & had a vibration thats when i tore into the rear end to rebuild, bad axle bearing & worn gears, it felt like the dr. shaft but that was balanced by a reputable local perhaps that crossmember question is an issue???
if anyone has a aod & working under the van could you please verify what i have ??? i have 4 1/2" from center of trans tail shaft to bottom of floor brace directly above it thanks a bunch have a great weekend
