How does the 6.2 gas engine fare in the new Super Duty?
If you're not pulling over 10k I would highly recommend the 6.2 gas. I decided diesel but my trailer is right at 15k. You can buy a ton of gas for the premium you pay for the diesel, and I fell IMO that for 200k miles the gas will be more reliable.

Isn't it funny how the times have changed? 15-20 years ago, for longevity you went diesel no questions asked...Now it's pretty much the opposite. I'm not saying that the new Diesel's aren't reliable or can't be. But they certainly aren't viewed in the same light they once were. And with gas engine's being designed for simplistic reliability in the 3/4 and 1-ton market, it's almost silly to consider Diesel for anything less than a 15,000lb trailer.
Just picked up my fully loaded f250 lariat 6.2L, FX4, 4.30 rear end today! Drive home from the dealer was like a dream!
Only disappointment is that the option to purchase massaging seats is not there! other than that, i got pretty much everything that a platinum has available.
As soon as Ford releases Lightning Blue I will place my order for a 6.2. Have been reading nothing ,other than great things about the Gasser. Been driving a 6.0 since 2004 and it still puts a smile on my face. But it is time for a change.
Just hit 220k miles on my 2011 6.2. I'd drive it across the country pulling my camper in a heartbeat. If towing more than 10k and a lot, get diesel. Just using the truck diesel lanes on the highway is worth it alone!
