Can I go to rail yard to check out the truck?

 

Don't think so. Pretty sure they are a very secure facility.

As oklarado said, patience, if you try entry into a railyard, you could or will end up in jail for trespassing and whatever else they feel warranted, the rail companies have there own police/law enforement, they have as much power and authority as the public police department. This was explained to me many years ago by them, i thought they were just security, NOPE.

 

Security is extremely tight at the unloading facilities.

 

As I railroader I can tell you entering any rail facility is a bad idea. They treat any tresspasser as a possible terrorist. Its the times we live in. The officers on the railroad police forces have the same authority as a federal agent. Best case you get detained, searched, questioned, and released. Worst case....well I think we can all imagine the worst case. You can't see inside the car carrier anyways, unless you're at the unloading facility. I would just try to be as patient as possible and wait till it gets to the dealer.
