Rear Window Defroster not working!

So i checked the fuses under the dash, all good.
Replaced the relay , no change.
Heated mirrors and rear defroster not working.
The switch on the dash will not light up, so I have no idea if its the switch or something else.
The rear glass was replaced about a month ago and the connections were made back there - I watched the tech do it.
What next to check?
The ice and snow up here is making seeing out the rear window difficult to say the least.

Exact symptoms of mine. Never bothered me enough to chase it down though. Good luck I hope someone has a fix.

Pull the trim around the back window and check for voltage at the contacts. Super simple...

If nothing, let us know and we go to next step.

I will be tearing into this issue over the weekend.
Anything else to look at while i've got the trim around the window off?
Are there any items under the hood I should look at ?( relays / fuses for the defroster?)
The side mirrors are from an 2008 , and were not installed by me, so should i start tracking anything down in that regard?

Does your horn work? I seem to recall that the mirrors, rear defrost, and horn all shared a circuit (but it is completely possible that I'm misremembering - CRS syndrome is a bitch!)
