It isn't USB-C but I wouldn't get an adapter. You're better off buying a USB-A to USB-C cable. They are very common and I think its nicer than having to deal with an adapter.

I bought the cable posted above by Dalingrin today from Walmart. I'm out of town and needed a short cable for in the rental car to charge my Samsung Galaxy 6.
[rant]Finding this cable at Walmart was not easy. They have cables spread across many aisles. I had to ask someone. Fortunately, the guy knew exactly what I was talking about and I then found it right away.[/rant]
