Flip down screen replacement ribbon cable?
This is driving me nuts. I need a new cable ribbon for the flip down screen in my Ex. Does ANYONE know where to get one? It is a shame to replace the thing/add other screens for a broken contact in a ribbon cable. I have found cables, but mine uses a dual (y shaped) cable that solders to the case, and using an ohm-meter, it is clear that the two cables are connected as some of the contacts go to ground. All I can find are straight ribbon cables.

another is DigiKey Electronics - Electronic Components Distributor here you can get a flex ribbon which is a common place of fault for the over head from all the opening and closing. This damages over time. Had to replace mine. Part number HF22U-04-ND

Problem is ours are unique. I should have taken a picture. The top one looks like a standard ribbon cable , the bottom one is loose on one end, and copper all the way across, soldered to the case. The other end is bonded to the top one, about halfway up, and testing the circuits with an ohm-meter, shows that the ground cable is connected to some of the regular cable contacts. Thanks though, that is a great source for cables, I bookmarked it!
