According to the catalog that one is for 73-77 B/F500 w/ 330 MD. It's a 1/8"-27 pipe thread.
I think what you're looking for is D0ZZ-10884-A, SW-925. That one is 3/8"-18 pipe thread and, according to the catalog, fits:
73-78 E100-350, P350-500
74-76 M450-500-8 cyl. 360, 390, 460
79 E-F150-350 w/ 460
The catalog doesn't specifically list your particular truck. It only lists two other sending units, one is for the 300 6 cylinder and the other is for a '79 with the 300, 302, 351 or 400.
