Highest price yet for a sculpture. Sold this one today for well into the 4 figure range and I think he's in line for a couple more. Not the Ace tho, I've got it priced high enough to keep it around a while.
Money to get the 40 panel a long ways further.
That is just plain cool!!! Wow, nice to see you pursuing your art and doing what you like while being properly reimbursed for it. Three cheers for Willowbilly!
I bet these would make cool engines for your sculptures. Too bad they are the last two of a 35 engine Briggs and Stratton engine collection I put together during the '80s and '90s. The one with two rockers is an FI and the one rocker is an FH. Both mid twenties era, and both run. Well they would if I blew the sawdust off of them. Heck, we started off topic, it just gets worse.
Had quite a few with stomp start. The earlier ones like these pictured used a chain and sprocket with ratchet, newer ones were like a maytag 2 stroke with a pedal and ratchet. Collecting something that has letter designations like John Deeres or Early B&S engines can be very frustrating and expensive as there are always some letters that are missing and everyone else has the same ones mi$$ing...... The old engine hobby has gone the way of the model T. It's all about muscle cars now for the big bucks, but that is good for us that do it for enjoyment and not investment. I have never ridden in a muscle car or had any interest in them and I was a teenager in the late 60s and early 70s...... As for your board track racers, I would love to build one for a weathervane on my red shop. They have a really beautiful form. Don't ever stop creating WB.
Those stomp starts don't bring much around here, doubt if a running one would bring $50. Maytags still do ok.
Yeah, I'll probably be building stuff until my hands or eyes give out. The money from the bike went into getting a car under my daughter. She needs a job and can't get one without a car and her last one died. I would sure rather have bought a plasma cutter or poured the floor in my new shop building...heavy sigh.

Don't get me started on kids.... Got 4 of them buggers and the youngest is 22 and he's 'working' for me right now. Don't ask why there are quotes around the word working....... The oldest 3 actually have their $#!t together. I have bought some cars over the years......
