Truck dies when put in gear.
Truck dies when put in gear.
I have an 03 f250 5.4l that I've been having some problems with. When the engine is cold it will drive fine and everything. When it warms up, if I go to put it in gear it just dies right away. Could anyone help me figure out why, thanks.
Do you have an aftermarket type air filter (K&N), etc? It may be an oiled MAF sensor fault is oiled up due to the filter.
That bad data can fowl up a good running engine.
Also, you might check your fuel filter service interval, or a bad fuel pump. They will sometimes start to fail when they get warm. You should see about 45 psi on the rails.
